Over $25 K in scholarships up for grabs at SLCC

More than $25,000 in scholarships are available for the upcoming Spring 2014 semester at South Louisiana Community College. Through the generosity of donors in Acadiana, several students will have a portion or all of their tuition for the spring semester paid.

Some of the area donors establishing spring scholarships are Cochrane Technologies, Home Furniture, KATC TV-3, iConvergence, Fugro Chance, John Chance Land Surveys, and more.

Several scholarships are open to all students, while others are specific to a student's campus location or major/program.

Students interested in applying for the scholarships should visit SLCC's website at www.solacc.edu and click on Student Scholarships under Quick Links.

Deadline to apply for spring scholarships is Friday, November 15. The Spring 2014 semester begins Monday, January 13.

Spring semester classes are being offered in a variety of ways including traditional classroom settings, video conferencing, and online.

SLCC is a comprehensive community college that operates campuses in Abbeville, Crowley, Franklin, Lafayette, New Iberia, Opelousas, St. Martinville, and Ville Platte.
