Outgoing Councilman Wants Wife to Finish Unexpired Term

District one Lafayette City-Parish Councilman Purvis Morrison will take over as Mayor of Scott on January 3rd. Morrison is now hoping the council will appoint his wife Mary to serve his last year on the council.
Morrison says Mary is already familiar with ongoing projects in the district. The council will make its decision during a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. January 4th.
The council started taking applications today. Resumes from qualified residents from the district will be accepted until December 17th. They can be sent to Clerk of the Council Norma Dugas, PO Box 4017-C Lafayette,LA 70502.
