A group of legislators is asking Attorney General Buddy Caldwell to issue an opinion on the recent cuts to the LSU hospital system. The twelve legislators, led by Representative Stephen Ortego of Carencro, says Governor Bobby Jindal broke state law by "skirting legislative oversight of these cuts." In his letter to Caldwell, Ortego asks the attorney general to confirm whether or not the Jindal Administration violated law by not seeking the legislature's blessing of the cuts.
