Opelousas police are still investigating a Friday shooting that claimed the life of a 14-year-old boy.
Police say no warrants have been issued and no charges have been filed in the death of Jaylin Levier. In addition, police say no new persons of interest have been developed.
Levier was shot Friday evening inside a home in the 1300 block of Fern Street. Two teenagers were questioned shortly after the incident, but no charges were filed against them.
Investigators say they are still working to find out who fired the shot or what caused the shot to be fired. If you have any information about the shooting, call the Opelousas Police Department at 337-948-2500.
