An Opelousas man was booked into jail on drug charges after a tip was called into Lafayette metro narcotics.

Chad Pitre was arrested at a home on Racca Road in Youngsville. Agents say Pitre was found with 8 grams of meth, 2 grams of marijuana and muscle relaxers.

Pitre's name may sound familiar to you because he was one of the last people seen with a man missing in Opelousas since March.

39-year old Bubba Kidder never returned from a fishing trip with two of his friends. They say he took off in Pitre's vehicle one night and never came back.

That vehicle was later found burned in St. Martin parish.
Deputies say Pitre is not a suspect in the disappearance and there are no new developments in the search for Kidder.
