Opelousas man arrested for alleged theft

Crowley Police have arrested an Opelousas man in connection with the alleged theft of a trailer and excavator which occurred on May 10, 2012. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Western Ave.
Working off of a Crime Stoppers tip, Crowley Police recovered over $30,000 in equipment on Tuesday. The property was recovered at a residence located at 9078 Highway 190 in rural St. Landry Parish.
Arrested was James Brock, Jr., 42 of Opelousas. Brock was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail for Possession of Stolen Property. He will be transferred to Acadia Parish on charges in Crowley.
