Opelousas man accused of raping a woman, threatening her with ax

An Opelousas man is facing rape charges after police responded to tip from Opelousas General Hospital. The victim indicated she was walking in the city limits of Opelousas around 3:00 a.m. when a man chased her on foot and forced her into his truck. She says he drove her outside the city limits, forced her to have sexual intercourse with him without her consent, while threatening her with an ax. Police say the victim picked 35-year-old Chonquaro Green out of a photo lineup. He's facing a charge of aggravated rape.
