Opelousas man accused of drug possesion

Around midnight, February 1, 2013, Opelousas patrol officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of St. Cyr street. Police say the driver of the vehicle was smoking marijuana. Jacamien Lee, 30, of Opelousas handed over a backpack which contained several bags of marijuana, a scale and cash, accodording to police. Officers also located a 380 cal. handgun in the car. Lee was transported to OPD where he was charged with Poss of Schedule I(marijuana) with Intent to Distribute, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Poss of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number, Proceeds Derived from Drug Sales. Lee remains in the Opelousas City Jail.
