Opelousas General Health System Becomes Baby Friendly Facility

Secretary of DHH, Kathy Kleibert visited Opelousas General Hospital today to monitor the progress in becoming a "Baby Friendly" facility. OGHS is one of only four hospitals in the state to participate in the Best Fed Beginnings Initiative which is a first of its kind, nationwide quality improvement initiative to help hospitals improve maternity care and increase the number of "Baby Friendly" designated hospitals in the United States.
