Opelousas Car Wash Theft

The Opelousas police department is currently investigating a theft that happened at the Magic Wand carwash located on 927 South Union Street in Opelousas.

According to Chief Perry Gallow, Tuesday August 10th, 2010 at approximately 0900 hours, two black males were seen driving a burgandy Dodge truck ,2005 to 2007 model,pulling a sixteen foot trailer, load a car wash control unit onto the trailer,and drive off with the unit.

One of the suspects was a black male approximately six feet tall,bald head and clean shaven. The other is described as dark skinned, black male approximately five feet six inches tall, wearing a baseball cap.

The value of the unit is over $32,000. Chief Gallow asked if anyone has information to please call the Opelousas police department hotline at 337-948-1692 or St. Landry Crime Stoppers at 337-948-8477
