ONLINE SCAM TAKES A KAPLAN WOMAN'S MONEY

On February 22nd, Krystal Naumann of Kaplan was shopping on Craigslist.com and found a car.
"It was a really good deal! It was a Honda Accord and they were asking for fifteen hundred dollars," said Naumann.
Naumann didn't waste anytime emailing the car-owner.
She says the car-owner told her that he is a military sergeant and that he could ship it to her.
"He said the military would use a plane to cargo the car to a local airport and I would have 3 days to decide if I want it or not; but the payment had to be sent western union to ebay motors before the plane could leave," said Naumann.
Naumann says she felt comfortable and thought the deal was real after they emailed for a day.
She says the next day she fifteen-hundred dollars to him from a Western Union.
After sending money, Naumann says that's when she realized that she'd been fooled.
She tried to follow up with the car owner through email.
"Ebay motors agent wouldn't reply, so then i tried contacting the sergeant and he wouldn't apply,"said Naumann.
After no response, Naumann contacted Ebay motors for help.
"They told me my case number didn't exist and the employee agent didn't exist," said Naumann.
Kaplan police discovered the money was sent to a Western Union in Spain.
They say the chances of her getting her money back are slim; and the only thing they can do is let federal agents investigate.
