One arrested, one hospitalized following Scott shooting

A Scott teen is charged with attempted second-degree murder following a weekend shooting.

The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of West Willow Street.

According to Scott police chief Chad Leger, 18-year-old Troy Filar, Jr., shot the victim three times. Officers found Filar and the suspect vehicle a short time later. Leger says officers found three guns in the car. According to Leger, one of those guns had been reported as stolen.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
