One Arrested, Another Wanted in Armed Robbery

One man is behind bars and another is wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Grand Coteau casino. Grand Coteau Police Chief Wilton Guidry says Ben Chavis was arrested Tuesday on armed robbery and aggravated battery charges stemming from last Monday's incident at the Pot of Gold Casino. Officials say Chavis pistol whipped and dragged a security guard during the robbery.
A second suspect, Joseph Elroy Chavis, is wanted in connection with this incident. If you know Chavis' whereabouts, call Grand Coteau police at 662-3972.
