OMV Employee Arrested for Malfeasance

Houma: On Monday, August 30, 2010, the Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division arrested Sybil St. Julian (B/F, 52 of Houma, LA.). St. Julian is accused of committing the crimes of malfeasance in office, abuse of office, and injuring public records.

The Louisiana State Police Region I Criminal Investigative Division, Houma field office, executed an arrest warrant for St. Julian at the Office of Motor Vehicles in Houma, LA. The arrest stems from an investigation that began on July 26, 2010. Troopers received information that an employee with the Office of Motor Vehicles was fraudulently issuing and/or altering Louisiana driver’s licenses after receiving a personal payment. During the investigation, St. Julian issued a Louisiana driver’s license to an undercover trooper using the fictitious information provided in return for payment.

St. Julian was arrested and booked on the above listed charges at the Terrebonne Parish Correctional Facility. No bond was set.
