Oil Capped; Acadiana Cautiously Celebrates

News that the Gulf oil leak has been capped was cautiously celebrated across Acadiana Thursday. At "Shuck's!" restaurant in Abbeville, Charles Fox and his wife toasted the news they saw on television.

"Everybody is going to start being real positive here shortly, especially if we can get this moratorium [lifted] so we can go back to working offshore," said Fox.

The cap is however just a temporary fix, until relief wells can be completed.
