Lafayette, Louisiana. August 20, 2010 - The International Center of Lafayette Consolidated Government, in conjunction with NLV International, is hosting a free informational meeting regarding key opportunities in the Brazilian energy market as well as those chemicals, materials and services that are in critical demand in Brazil. The meeting will take place on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Le Centre International in Lafayette and at 2:30 p.m. in Lake Charles at the Southwest Louisiana Alliance.
The Brazilian government and Petrobras, the Brazilian national oil company, have requested increased exports and foreign partners in critical areas, such as Metalurgical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electric Technology, Marine Parts and Engineering and Construction Services. Additionally, the Brazilian government formally announced lowering local content requirements from 65% to 35% for huge pre-salt offshore oil and gas fields, opening more opportunities for equipment and services from American suppliers.
NLV International will be presenting several American export and partnership/investor prospects to Petrobras and other Brazilian companies during their attendance at the Rio Oil and Gas Conference in Brazil (September 13 - 17, 2010). Anyone interested in having their company literature distributed at the conference should attend on August 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Lafayette (Le Centre International, 735 Jefferson Street) or at 2:30 p.m. in Lake Charles (Southwest Louisiana Alliance, 120 W.
