Officials Receive Complaints About Phone Solicitors

In recent days the Lafayette Police Department has been contacted by residents regarding phone solicitation from an organization identified as "Puppy Patrol". The police department has no knowledge of the organization, nor if it is affiliated with any law enforcement agency in the area. Residents of Lafourche Parish were warned of the solicitors in September of 2009 by the Lafourche Parish Sheriffs Office. Those individuals who receive phone calls of this type are encouraged to research the organization and contact their local Better Business Bureau.
