Official Family Statement Regarding the Shooting of Yousef Balbeisi

The identity of the victim of this morning's home invasion and shooting is 31-year-old Yousef Balbeisi. Balbeisi was shot after he confronted the person who broke into his Mimosa Place home just before 5:00 this morning. Balbeisi was found in and out of consciousness and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are not known at this time. He is still listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
Balbeisi is the younger brother of Nadel Balbesi, owner of the Zeus franchise in the Hub City. Yousef is the General Manager of one of the Zeus locations.
