BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Authorities say four Baton Rouge police officers accused of shooting and killing an armed man after a chase that ended in West Baton Rouge Parish will return to work.
Sgt. Don Stone tells The Advocate Paul Brown, Richard McCloskey, Nicholas Morgan and Joshua Ellis were placed on administrative leave.
The man shot was identified as 48-year-old Darryl Douglas Parault of Jarreau.
The incident between Parault and the police started about 11:15 p.m. Aug. 5 when a Baton Rouge police officer in a marked police car tried to pull over Parault for a traffic violation. Parault refused to stop and led police on a pursuit into West Baton Rouge Parish where the shooting occurred.
