October Crispness Returns

A cool fall pattern has returned to Acadiana in the wake of a cold front that crossed the area early Thursday. Temperatures will likely drop into the low-mid 50s by Friday morning under crystal clear skies.

Lots of sunshine is in the forecast Friday into the weekend with warm afternoons followed by comfortably crisp nights.

Look for highs in the lower 80s Friday and Saturday, reaching the mid-80s Sunday afternoon.

A return flow will initiate from the Gulf of Mexico by Sunday ushering higher humidity and milder overnight lows.

The front early Thursday produced the best rains of the month to date with totals in the .25-1" range across the least enough to help settle the dust.

The forecast remains quite dry through next week with only very slight mid-week rain chances at best.
