From State Police: Today, Louisiana State Police Region 2 detectives assigned to the Lake Charles field office arrested an Oakdale man for carnal knowledge of a juvenile and malfeasance in office.

On October 20, 2010, troopers were contacted by the Oakdale Police Department and asked to investigate a complaint against one of their police officers. The investigation centered around 25-year-old Robert Tillis of Oakdale, LA. The complaint alleged that Tillis was sexually involved with a 15-year-old female while he was employed as an officer with the Oakdale Police Department.

During the course of the investigation, detectives obtained evidence which indicated that between the months of June 2008 and December 2008, Tillis did engage in sexual relations with the female on multiple occasions. Based on this evidence, detectives were able to secure an arrest warrant for Tillis.

Today, Tillis turned himself in to detectives at the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office. He was placed under arrest, and booked into the Allen Parish Jail for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and malfeasance in office.
