Oakdale man dies in Rapides Parish crash

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that claimed the life of a man from Oakdale.
Troopers responded to the crash around 4 p.m. Wednesday on La Highway 121 southwest of Alexandria.
Investigators say a log truck driven by 41-year-old Stacy D. Dickens crossed the centerline and hit a pickup driven by 27-year-old Tori L. Thacker of Hineston.
Dickens was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thacker is being treated at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
