Nursing Home Worker Arrested in Alleged Theft

SLIDELL, La. (AP) - A former employee of a Slidell nursing home
has been arrested on suspicion of stealing money and jewelry from a
71-year-old resident of the home.
Slidell police said 42-year-old Domenica Thomas was arrested
Friday on charges that included theft and simple robbery.
Thomas allegedly entered the man's room at Greenbriar Nursing
Home on Tuesday, took his gold wedding ring from his finger and
stole less than $10 from his night stand.
Police said Greenbriar will conduct an internal investigation to
determine if anything else has been stolen from residents.
