Northern Sections of I-49 Closed

The National Weather Service out of Lake Charles is reporting that several portions of I-49 in Rapides Parish is closed.
1-49 from exits 80 to 94 as well as elevated portions of I-49 through Alexandria have been closed. The Gillis Long Bridge has been closed as well, but the O.K. Allen and Purple Heart Bridge have been reopened and traffic is being rerouted onto these open bridges.
