Local software developer Solutient Corp. has landed three significant contracts with Major League Baseball.
The company will develop new software to help the league manage key data, including player statistics.
The firm also will develop software to track the progress of youth baseball players in cities across the country for the Urban Youth Academy, MLB's program for amateur baseball players.
Solutient President and CEO Robert Sternhell says the contracts are relatively new but growing territory for the firm, which has offices in New Orleans, Cleveland, New York and Terrebonne Parish.
