No one is hurt in a Sunday afternoon house fire in Lafayette.

The flames broke out around 12:30 in the 100-block of Orleans Street. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to contain the blaze. Investigators say a pot left unattended on the kitchen stove sparked the fire.

The house received heavy fire and smoke damage.
