No. 74 Cajuns Down Lamar On The Road, 7-0

BEAUMONT, Texas - After sweeping UNO on Friday, the 74th ranked Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team posted its second consecutive sweep downing Lamar at the Thompson Family Tennis Center in Beaumont, Texas on Saturday afternoon.

The Cajuns grabbed the doubles point after wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles. Both doubles teams of Rick de Groot/Jake Wynan and Hunter Johnson/Yates Johnson posted 8-2 wins.

In singles, Louisiana did not drop a set led by Hunter Johnson who won his third straight match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Steven McMullan on court five.

Jake Wynan also picked up his third straight win after defeating Rob Lee 7-6, 6-4 at No.1 singles, while Damian Farinola tallied his first singles win of the spring season topping Trey Crysel at No.6 singles, 6-2, 6-2.

The Ragin' Cajuns open a three-match Florida road swing on Feb. 8 when they take on No.60 Miami (Fla.) in a rematch in Coral Gables, Fla.
