Nicholls is 'All-Steinway'

THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Nicholls State University is about to become an "All-Steinway School."
The university in Thibodaux is getting the designation from the famous piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons for exclusively using Steinways for performances and music education.
Nicholls' began efforts to build its all-Steinway collection of 21 pianos in 2007 with gifts from private donors and foundations. It continues with fundraising events such as the annual Monster Piano Concert at Nicholls. This year's concert takes place Sept. 20 and will include the presentation of a plaque from Steinway & Sons.
