Acadiana will continue to enjoy mostly sunny, breezy and warm conditions Tuesday with another nice one expected Wednesday.
Look for breezy south to southeast winds near 10-15mph with higher gusts for our Tuesday afternoon with winds abating into the night time hours.
Highs Tuesday will likely top out in the low-mid 80s.
More clouds, breezy and warm conditions are anticipated Wednesday with highs continuing in the mid-80s.
By Thursday an impulse in the more southwest oriented sub-tropical jet stream will develop across the Western Gulf Coast engendering more cloud cover and possibly a few passing showers.
A frontal boundary will approach the area Friday into Friday night more than likely translating to a good chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The main energy with this system should exit to our east Saturday afternoon but the surface frontal boundary will likely stay stalled just to Acadiana's north keeping warm and rather humid conditions along with slight rain chances for the rest of the weekend carrying into early next week.
With conditions locally entering a mild to moderate drought, any rainfall later this week and into the weekend should be welcomed.
