Six NFL teams are in action on Thanksgiving, with
Detroit and Dallas as customary hosts.
The Lions entertain New England for the first kickoff of the holiday. Detroit is 2-8 and residing in its usual spot in the NFC North basement. The 8-2 Patriots are tied with the Jets for first place in the AFC East. New York entertains 2-8 Cincinnati, under the lights.
The Cowboys' encounter with Super Bowl champion New Orleans is sandwiched between those two games. The Cowboys are trying to improve to 3-0 under interim coach Jason Garrett.
