Former New Orleans Saints linebacker and NFL Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson is returning to Abbeville on Wednesday for a day full of visits.

This upcoming stop comes on the heels of his no-show October 9th at the 62nd Annual Louisiana Cattle Festival Parade. Many residents in Abbeville felt snubbed.

Jackson blamed a breakdown in communications for his absence. The city had heavily promoted the visit and even constructed a large float for the man known as Mr. Saints.

Jackson retired in 1995 after 13 years with the Saints and two with the San Francisco 49ers.

Here is the schedule for Wednesday (note: some visits are public, school visits are not):

Abbeville High School Auditorium 9:00-9:20 a.m.

Eaton Park Elementary from 9:30-9:50 a.m.

Vermilion Catholic High School Auditorium from 10:00-10:20 a.m.

Herod Elementary 10:30-11:00 a.m.

Shuck's Restaurant from noon-1:30 p.m.

Ray Chevrole visit & autographs 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Walgreens in Abbeville from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
