New Time Limit On Trains Blocking Intersections In Iberia

There is a now a time limit on how long trains can block railroad crossings in Iberia Parish.

The parish council unanimously decided, railroad cars cannot block a crossing for more than ten minutes without stopping to allow traffic to flow.

Railroad companies will be fined $500 or owners could see jail time for each offense.
