The Lafayette Science Museum "Leaving Earth - The Story of Space Travel" exhibit explores the epic adventure of international space flight, from the earliest attempts at rocketry to current plans for space tourism. The exhibit takes you on a journey through space, where new discoveries, new technology and new ideas are waiting to be explored. Try your hand at docking a Space Shuttle to the International Space Station. You can also test your motor skills with robotic arms and fuel up your rocket, then countdown to launch. Complete your exploration of the cosmos with a visit to the museum's digital Planetarium. Great programs, live shows and a knowledgeable staff bring the universe to you.
The Lafayette Science Museum is located in the heart of downtown Lafayette at 433 Jefferson Street.
