New production workshops available at AOC Community Media

This fall, AOC Community Media will offer workshops aimed at equipping Acadiana with the basics production skills used to create content for AOC's two television channels (Cox Communications channels 15 and 16 and LUS Fiber channels 3 and 4) and for AOC's Internet radio station, Cypress Street Radio.

AOC's affordable workshops range from pre-production to post-production topics and can be taken in any order. Workshop prices range from free to $40 for AOC members and free to $50 for non-members. Several of the upcoming workshops are created for Acadiana teens to learn more about animation and are scheduled during Lafayette Parish School System's breaks.

"Our main goal when creating and teaching our workshops is always to broaden our members' understanding of concepts they can use to create content for AOC's two television channels," Ed Bowie, AOC's executive director, said. "We hope what we introduce them to will inspire them to continue the learning process throughout their time as producers of local content."
