LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - McNeese State University President Philip C. Williams says he will recommend a reorganization of administrative personnel and services this week after a review by campus leaders.
Williams, who faces budget cuts for 2011 after taking over as McNeese's sixth president July 1, was inaugurated Sunday during a ceremony in Francis G. Bulber Auditorium.
He thanked the faculty, student and staff members who evaluated programs and costs and said his vision for McNeese includes programs that promote innovation and entrepreneurial leadership.
Williams said financial challenges facing the 8,900-student university will pass. The president said he inherited financially sound practices from McNeese's former president, Robert D. Hebert.
