NEW ORLEANS, La. (AP) - New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin appears to
be betting the loot left over from the Saints championship game on
the Super Bowl.
Nagin bet Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak that the Saints would
beat the Minnesota Vikings. His wager included CDs, pralines, mix
for the square doughnuts called beignets (ben-YAYs), as well as
beads and other trinkets
Nagin did not have to pay off and on Friday announced a wager
with Indianapolis Mayor Gregory A. Ballard on the Super Bowl.
According to the release, Nagin is betting pretty much the same
thing, but this time with a package of "Who Dat!" coffee.
Ballard waged a package of St. Elmo's Shrimp Cocktail, 10 dozen
cookies from IndyAnna's Catering, a platter from Judges BBQ and two
dozen tenderloins from Mug 'N' Bun if the Saints win.
