BENTON, La. (AP) - New information could lead to the release of a man arrested in a Bossier City triple killing.
Thirty-nine-year-old Gerald Needham was arrested after the April killings at an appliance store.
However, Bossier Parish sheriff's deputies investigating an armed robbery in Haughton learned that a shell casing recovered from their crime scene matched shell casings from the appliance store killings.
Bossier District Attorney Schuyler Marvin acknowledged Thursday that he likely doesn't have the right man in custody, according to The Times of Shreveport. Marvin said he is awaiting a crime lab report expected early next week before deciding whether Needham should be released.
Bossier deputies Friday arrested 32-year-old Robert L. Clark, of Shreveport, in the Haughton robbery. He has not been charged in the Bossier store killings.
