CLINTON, La. (AP) - An East Feliciana Parish grand jury has
issued new indictments against three men in the July 2009 shooting death of a Clinton man during an alleged drug deal.
The grand jurors on Tuesday indicted 20-year-old Anthony Manzella of Hammond on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Jeral Wayne Matthews Jr. of Clinton.
The panel indicted 23-year-old Andrew Robertson, also of Hammond, and 27-year-old Johnny Barnes of Jackson on a single charge each of principal to first-degree murder. State District Judge George H. Ware Jr. last month threw out indictments against the three men.
The men are scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on Oct. 4.
