NEW IBERIA WOMEN ARRESTED FOR CYBERSTALKING

(St. Martinville, La)-A dual parish investigation regarding harassing individuals on FACEBOOK between Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office and St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office resulted in the arrest of Alice Broussard-Latula, 28, of New Iberia. Latula created a FACEBOOK page under an assumed name and repeatedly harassed individuals over the Internet. This is a growing trend, as some individuals have been using these types of services to engage in the harassment of others, taking personal attacks to its highest levels. Law Enforcement Officials are letting residents know that this type of activity is criminal in nature and when you decide to do things of this nature, charges will be filed against you. Latula was charged with Cyberstalking and booked into Iberia Parish Correctional Center.
