A New Iberia man was reportedly in such a hurry to get to his destination Sunday afternoon that he fired shots on La. Highway 182 while passing another vehicle.
According to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Jeroswaski Collette of New Iberia is accused of tail-gating another vehicle on the road and driving erratically before firing shots at another vehicle as he passed him on Highway 182.
Collette was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail on one count of assault by drive-by shooting.
The Sheriff's Office reports there were no injuries in the incident and that it appears Collette fired the shots because he was "in a hurry to arrive at his destination."
