TORONTO (AP) - Is it the start of a rebound for Blackberry, or the electronic equivalent of shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic? Research In Motion, the company that makes the Blackberry line, says it has started testing on its newest models. The smartphones are being given the once-over by 50 wireless carriers around the world. The Canadian-based company says the test runs for the new products are important as RIM prepares to launch its new phones and software to run them in the first part of next year. The new smartphones are seen as important to RIM's survival. The company is trying to stay relevant in a market dominated by flashier iPhones and Android phones.
