After a warm and unsettled Thursday, a late spring chill will be moving into Acadiana Friday into the weekend.
A cold front will sweep across the area by late Thursday bring much cooler temperatures to to Acadiana Friday with highs struggling to reach the lower 60s under mostly cloudy skies.
Skies will clear Friday night with the stage setting for near record chilly temperatures Saturday morning. The record of 44F (set in 1954) Saturday morning could be in jeopardy!
This weekend will be a very pleasant one with mostly sunny skies punctuated by some scattered clouds, low humidity and temperatures more in line with late March!
Temperatures will gradually warm next week with essentially dry conditions at least through mid-week.
In the near term, expect mostly cloudy skies for our Thursday with the risk of scattered showers and storms until the front gets here later in the day or during the evening hours.
