NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - A 26-year-old Natchitoches man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty in the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman.

Natchitoches Parish District Attorney Van H. Kyzar says Jeremy "Bubba" Osborn pleaded guilty in June 2012 to manslaughter in the death of 20-year-old Kasey Ragan of Natchitoches, who was shot during a disturbance on a La. Highway 1 Bypass parking lot on March 11, 2011.

Osborn fled the scene before police arrived, but turned himself in at the Natchitoches Police Department later that day.

Kyzar says Osborn will be required to serve at least 25 ½ years of the sentence before he can be considered for parole.
