Natchitoches man dies after high speed chase

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) - State police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old Natchitoches man who died Monday after a chase with Natchitoches Parish sheriff's deputies.
Troopers tells The Town Talk Marion Grant was arrested on drug charges and charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of justice after a vehicle pursuit on La. Highway 1 with Natchitoches Drug Task Force officials.
While in police custody, troopers say Grant became ill and was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center where he was treated and later died.
An autopsy was performed, but officials have not released a cause of death.
