NASCAR chief headlines security conference

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - NASCAR president Mike Helton will deliver a keynote address at the National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition set for Aug. 2-4 in New Orleans.
More than 400 security professionals are expected for the second annual conference, which is sponsored by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Helton became head of the auto racing group in 2000.
The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security was established in 2006 to improve sports security policies.
