To lose weight... to lower your blood pressure... to fight diabetes... these are just a few reasons people get moving. But there's one benefit some folks discovered that might surprise you. After doing some research, I found that one of the top 10 reasons people exercise is for the opportunity to socialize. Beth and Paula have been friends since first grade. They work out every weekday at 8:30. They do group workouts together and motivate each other. After they work out, they "treat" themselves to a cup of coffee and a nice long visit. They cherish this time and say the time they spend together as friends is as important to them as the work out. So grab a friend, get a buddy, and get moving!
