Jim Phillips, veteran educator and the education director of Cité des Arts, is bringing years of experience in teaching, independent film production, storytelling, writing, and acting to They're Gonna Put You In The Movies Summer Camps 2013. Each week long camp provides many opportunities to get involved in the process of movie making - Improv games, acting and production skill development, telling their own stories and performing. As the parents of hundreds of Jim's former students will claim, Jim creates a learning atmosphere where the opportunities to develop individual creative skills and personal growth are limitless.
Friday of each week, there will be a World Premiere of the work produced during the week of camp.
"I work with people all over the country, and there's no one quite like Jim Phillips," said Ken Waldman, Alaska's "Fiddling Poet." "Artist, manager, director, producer....he has the energy of a half dozen people, and he certainly knows how to inspire. I recommend him most highly."
The fee for the camp is $195, supplies and snacks are included.
