Motorcyclist killed in I-10 crash in Metairie

METAIRIE, La. (AP) - State police say a 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Interstate 10 in Metairie.

Trooper Evan Harrell tells The Times-Picayune Nicholas Miller of Jefferson was killed shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday on eastbound I-10 near the Bonnabel Boulevard exit.

Harrell said Miller tried to change lanes and struck the rear of a car.

Miller, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office.
