BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Authorities say a motorcyclist died from injuries he suffered in a collision with another vehicle that failed to yield while turning into the motorcyclist's lane.
Casey Rayborn Hicks, an East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, says 61-year-old James Dunn, of Gonzales, was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Hicks say the driver of the vehicle that Dunn struck, 24-year-old Jerrick Treyon Sims, of Baton Rouge, was arrested Thursday and booked into Parish Prison on counts of negligent homicide and failure to yield.
The crash happened about 6 a.m.
