Mother arrested for failure to report offender

JENNINGS, La. (AP) - A Jefferson Davis Parish woman is facing charges of accessory to failure to register and report a sex offender, obstruction of justice and improper supervision of a juvenile.
Nichole Lantz, of Jennings, was arrested Friday at her home by sheriff's office detectives.
Sheriff's office spokesman Christopher Ivey says the arrest followed an investigation of a sex offender, previously arrested for a parole violation.
Ivey says Lantz is the mother of a juvenile who was staying in the home with the registered sex offender.
Lantz was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail and was later released on bond.
It was unclear whether Lantz has an attorney.
